Who can apply?
A student enrolled in a degree program at home university at the time of application for exchange study stay. A student who has completed, at least, the first year of university studies.
International programs or scholarship schemes within which a student can apply:
- only if student´s home university has agreement with the STU in Bratislava,
- other international programs or scholarship schemes.
University directive for Recognition of Foreign Studies and Acceptation of Foreign Students within Mobility Exchange Programs.
Duration of exchange study: 1-12 months. Lenght of study is defined by the international program or scholarship scheme.

An applicant for exchange study stay must send to STU in Bratislava following materials:
1. Application form for Exchange Students
An applicant fills in application form of respective international program or scholarship scheme.
If the international program or scholarship scheme does not provide application form and in the case of the University Bilateral Agreement use this Application Form for Exchange Students.
2. Learning Agreement for Exchange Students
An applicant must fill in Learning Agreement of respective international program or scholarship scheme.
If the international program or scholarship scheme does not provide Learning Agreement and in the case of the University Bilateral Agreement use this Learning Agreement for Exchange Students.
To fill in Learning AGreement an applicant ca select faculty, study program and courses: Degree programs and courses of the STU in Bratislava.
An applicant plannig to write final thesis fills in the phrase "final thesis" and title or subject of the final work into the Learning Agreement and its part "course title".
3. Transcript of Records
An applicant must attach Transcript of Records of the whole previous study. Transcript of Records provides information on student´s study specialisation details.
4. Document on language proficiency
Language of instruction at the STU in Bratislava is English or Slovak (see degree programs and courses).
5. Copy of health insurance
STU in Bratislava must receive all above mentioned application materials three months before beginning of winter or summer semester latest. See academic calendar.

Acceptance for exchange study
Application materials will be evaluated by the faculty of the STU in Bratislava, which a student has chosen for the exchange study. When respective faculty approves the application, the International Relations Office will issue acceptation letter for exchange study.
Applicant can apply for acommodation in the Student Houses of the STU in Bratislava only with valid acceptation letter.

Students accepted for exchange study at the Faculty of Material Sciences and Technology situated in Trnava must contact Student Accommodation Office in Trnava - firstname.lastname@example.org
Student houses in Bratislava and Trnava have limited capacities for accommodation. If you fail to get student room in student houses ask for help with alternative accommodation Erasmus Student Network of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (ESN STU). If you feel like any assistance provided by STU students might help you before your arrival, on your arrival or at the beginning of your study, do not hesitate to contact from ESN STU.
After arrival to the STU in Bratislava
Accepted student must visit Student Affairs Office of the faculty, where student will be registered for study.
Student will be given registration ID on the basis of which student will be able to pay for the accommodation and to arrange student city transport card and daily meals in student canteens.
